Planners - Calendars - Homework Folders
4th grade students use a daily planner to document classwork
and to note homework. We spend time at the end of each day, reflecting on tasks that were done and noting homework to be completed.
This is a way to manage short-term and long-term assignments.
Tasks that are completed are checked off.
Homework tasks are noted with HW and are circled.
4th graders are expected to bring their planner to class each day and then bring their planners home each afternoon.
Ask to see your child's planner and talk to them about what they are doing in school. Initial the bottom of each day's column
to show that you have seen the planner.
Snacks
Send a snack with your child. Crackers, fruit, cheese sticks are excellent choices for a morning snack. Time is allowed on most days to snack during seat-work time. We would gladly accept a donation if you would like to send in a large bag of pretzels or Goldfish crackers
to share with the class.
Lunch and Recess Times
4th grade lunch time is at 12:05.
Recess break time is 12:30-1:00.
