Welcome!  This is my fourth year teaching 4th grade at Hallett Elementary.  My husband and I moved here three and a half years ago from Colorado Springs, Colorado where I taught both 3rd and 4th grade for 13 years.  We have two amazing kids. Kylie and her husband both graduated from University of Colorado and live and work in San Diego (or as I call it, my vacation home).  Our son and his wife have lived in Spokane for over five years, Jack is a firefighter here and his wife Katey is working on her Masters degree in Special Education and they have one child, my granddaughter, Adalynn Rose Warnecke (the most perfect beautiful little girl in the world)!  I graduated from South Dakota State University and took  my graduate work at Regis University in Denver.  I love teaching but also have other interests.  I love to practice yoga whenever I can, hike anywhere and everywhere, run or walk when running hurts, ski, snowshoe, boating, and pretty much any activity that takes me outdoors.  Indoors, I love to read and eat, pizza is my favorite and I love chocolate (hint hint).   I also am an avid, diehard Denver Broncos fan (#sorry/not sorry).  We got a new puppy in June, a golden retriever named Frisco and we have a crazy 5 year old yellow lab named Canyon.  I am looking forward to this new school year and meeting all my kids!
